Dreaming in Light
10% off your first order, when you sign up
Dreaming in Light was created entirely in-camera using intentional movement to transform a lakeside treeline into an abstract composition of colour and motion. Gentle strokes of gold, blue, and soft white blur together like a watercolour painting, evoking calm and serenity. Captured in a single exposure without digital manipulation, it’s a meditation on how perception shapes the way we see the world.
- Serene Ambience: Soft painterly tones bring warmth and tranquillity into your living space.
- Contemporary Elegance: Abstract motion adds a modern, artistic touch that complements any interior.
- Authentic Creation: A true fine-art piece, captured in-camera and crafted with light, movement, and vision.

FAQ
1. What materials are the prints made with?
All artworks are printed on museum-grade archival papers using professional fine art printers. I select papers such as cotton rag or handmade washi for their longevity, texture, and ability to bring out the richness of each image. With proper care, your print will last a lifetime without fading.
2. Do the prints come framed, or unframed?
Both options are available. You can choose unframed prints, delivered carefully rolled in a protective tube, or select from a range of New Zealand–made bespoke frames with UV-resistant Acrylic or UV-protective glass. Framing options are detailed on each artwork’s product page.
3. How do I know what size will work in my space?
If you’re unsure, I offer a free visualisation service. Simply send me a photo of your wall and the measurements, and I’ll create a digital proof so you can see how the artwork will look in your space before you order.
4. How long will it take to receive my artwork?
As each piece is made to order:
- Prints usually take around 2 weeks to produce.
- Framed artworks can take up to 4 weeks, as they are custom made.
Shipping times vary by location, and you’ll receive updates once your artwork is on its way.
5. What if my artwork arrives damaged?
While I package every order with great care, on rare occasions damage can happen during transit. If this occurs, please email me at info@michellefey.com within 5 days of delivery, including your order number and photos of the damage and packaging. I’ll arrange a replacement at no cost to you.
6. Can I return or exchange my artwork if I change my mind?
Because every artwork is printed to order, I cannot accept returns, refunds, or exchanges for change of mind or incorrect selection. I encourage you to contact me before ordering if you’d like guidance in choosing the perfect piece for your space.
7. How should I care for and display my print?
- To keep your artwork looking its best:
- Avoid hanging in direct sunlight.
- Handle unframed prints with clean, dry hands.
- Frame using archival materials and UV-protective glass or Perspex where possible.
- Keep away from damp or humid areas.
8. Do you ship internationally?
Yes, I do offer international shipping. As costs and options can vary depending on location, please contact me directly at info@michellefey.com and I’ll provide a tailored shipping quote for your order. Any customs duties or taxes charged on arrival will be the responsibility of the buyer.
9. Are the prints limited edition or open edition?
At present, all artworks are offered as open editions, which means they are not capped by a set number. However, I’ll soon be releasing selected pieces as limited editions — these will be numbered, signed, and clearly noted on the product page when available.
10. How do I know the colours will match what I see on my screen?
I take care to ensure my prints are true to the original artwork. However, colours can vary slightly between screens due to individual device settings. If you’re concerned, please reach out — I can offer guidance and help you feel confident before you order.
